Squarespace: Most Likely To / Class of 2020
2020 wasn't a normal graduation year. So Squarespace wanted to find a way to highlight some of this years grads and share their work with the world! From May to August 2020, I dove into this project alongside our in-house creative + marketing teams, as well our partners at HECHO STUDIOS (post-production) & Marmoset (music licensing) . Over these 4 months we scouted 10 graduating students and asked them to be apart of this campaign. Although I love being on set with our talent & crews, there was no way to safely do that during the covid-19 pandemic. Instead, we took to using the technology at our disposal to remote-produce these interviews through video calls.
We knew that having photographic content for each student would be important to use in their films, and the visual assets we'd use on web & social. To make this happen, I sourced 3 freelance photographers to partner with myself and in-house photographer Craig Reynolds. We were able to photograph each student safely in their homes. We worked with each student to gather folders full of personal memories (photos, sketches, notes, etc), helping to tell their stories & bringing the videos to life. I'm so excited to share this project in its entirety and I can't wait to see what these grads do next!
